HISTORY OF THE CLUB

Maghull and Lydiate Angling Club was established in the early 1950's and is one of the remaining long - established local clubs.A couple of years ago the Strand Eldonians Club decided to join and become part of Maghull and Lydiate.
The club rents the fishing rights on Swan Pool, a small local water that provides excellent fishing for members. We organise fortnightly outings to a variety of waters – not too far away in this age of high fuel costs.
These are run as matches and provide keen but friendly competition with plenty of banter. So, if you think this might be your cup of tea, why not get in touch and join and enjoy some good fishing in lively company.
